Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Automation Testing and Python. The candidate should have hands-on experience in automation frameworks and testing tools and should be able to design, develop, and execute automation scripts for web applications and APIs.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute automation scripts for web applications and Web APIs using open-source tools.
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, record, document, and track software defects and bugs.
  • Perform thorough regression testing once bugs are fixed.
  • Design and implement automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
  • Ensure software quality and performance by following standard QA processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve product quality.
  • Monitor debugging processes and test results to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and recommend solutions.
  • Stay updated with latest testing tools, technologies, and automation strategies.

Required skills

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Software Testing
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Automation Testing
  • Strong experience with automation tools such as Python, Selenium, SoapUI, Protractor, Jenkins, and Docker
  • Proven experience in Software Development and Software Quality Assurance
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and testing processes
  • Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and automation scripts
  • Hands-on experience with White Box and Black Box Testing
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience in performance testing and/or security testing is an added advantage
  • BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
