Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions. Key expertise should include hands-on experience with Python for data loading and manipulation, proficiency in SQL for query writing and optimization, and practical or conceptual understanding of Snowflake's architecture and features. You will work closely with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to develop robust data pipelines and optimize data workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Implement real-time data streaming solutions using Kafka.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver quality data solutions.
• Utilize Python for efficient data loading, transformation, and manipulation tasks.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, including creating views and procedures.
• Work with Snowflake, shifting roles and databases as needed, to perform ELT tasks and queries, leveraging its architecture for optimized performance.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and resolve issues proactively.
• Document data processes and maintain technical documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming for data-related tasks.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming.
• Practical experience working with Snowflake, or at minimum, a strong conceptual understanding of its architecture and features.
• Strong SQL skills, with experience in writing and optimizing queries, including PL/SQL, views, and procedures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Experience with data modeling, data governance, and data security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
