Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Python Code Quality Engineer to join our team on a freelance basis. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, reviewing, and improving Python code quality across a variety of projects. If you are passionate about clean code, debugging, performance optimization, and maintaining high engineering standards, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate Python code for quality, efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
- Identify bugs, logical issues, and performance bottlenecks in existing codebases.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and clean architecture principles.
- Collaborate with developers and AI teams to improve code reliability and readability.
- Conduct code audits, testing, and validation to maintain high-quality deliverables.
- Suggest optimizations and refactoring opportunities for better performance and maintainability.
- Document findings, recommendations, and quality improvement measures.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Python development.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with debugging, testing frameworks, and code review processes.
- Familiarity with coding standards, software engineering best practices, and version control systems such as Git.
- Ability to analyze complex codebases and provide actionable feedback.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
