We are seeking a skilled and passionate Python Backend Developer with 4-6 years of experience in building scalable, high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, API design, microservices architecture, database management, and cloud-native technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop reliable and secure backend solutions that power modern web and mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend systems and services using Python.
- Build robust RESTful APIs and microservices for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Optimise applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Integrate third-party services, APIs, and data sources.
- Implement security and data protection best practices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Work with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python (3 x).
- Hands-on experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and MongoDB/Redis.
- Familiarity with ORM tools such as Django ORM or SQLAlchemy.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of Git, RabbitMQ/Kafka/Celery, Docker, Nginx, and Gunicorn.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and GraphQL.
- Experience with event-driven architecture.
- Understanding of OAuth2 JWT, encryption, and caching mechanisms.
- Exposure to frontend technologies such as React or Angular.
