About the Role

Lead VCTI's automation excellence by architecting Python+Selenium frameworks for optical networking products. Own end-to-end test strategy for DWDM/ROADM systems, mentor automation team, and drive quality across UI/API/system layers.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead design/architecture of scalable Selenium+Python automation frameworks

- Own test strategy for optical networking products (DWDM, ROADM, muxponders)

- Mentor 3-5 automation engineers; conduct code reviews and upskilling

- Build/maintain E2E test suites across UI/API/system layers

- Integrate automation with GitLab CI/CD for optical transport systems

- Analyze production logs and debug complex optical system failures

- Define automation roadmap aligned with VCTI product releases

- Collaborate with optical architects for system-level validation

Required Skills (Primary)

- 7+ years automation experience; 2+ years leading teams/frameworks

- Expert-level Python + Selenium WebDriver framework development

- Hands-on optical networking validation experience is a Preferrable/added advantage

- Strong API testing (REST, JSON validation)

- GitLab CI/CD pipeline ownership

- Linux debugging across distributed systems

Good to Have

- Robot Framework experience

- L2/L3 protocol testing (Ethernet, IP, MPLS)

- Copilot/AI-assisted test development

- Performance testing of optical systems

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with optical test equipment (OTDR, OSA, BERT)

- Telecom product company background

- Agile leadership in fast-paced environments
