Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled
Python Architect with extensive experience in
Django or Flask frameworks,
RESTful API development, and a solid understanding of
networking concepts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable backend architectures, leading development teams, and ensuring adherence to best practices in software engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Design
- Design and develop scalable web applications using Python and Django/Flask.
- Define and maintain backend service architecture, ensuring high performance, security, and maintainability.
API Development
- Develop and manage RESTful APIs, integrating with third-party services and frontend applications.
- Implement security best practices to protect API endpoints and ensure data integrity.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in software architecture and coding standards.
Collaboration
- Work closely with front-end developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to define project goals and execution strategies.
- Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Networking Knowledge
- Utilize knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, Load Balancing, etc.) to optimize performance and security.
- Troubleshoot network-related application issues effectively.
Documentation
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and architectural diagrams.
- Document API endpoints and provide integration guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 14+ years in software development, with at least 3-5 years in an architectural role.
- Frameworks: Strong expertise in Python web frameworks (Django or Flask).
- API Development: Proven ability to design and develop RESTful APIs.
- Databases: Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Version Control: Proficiency in Git.
- Networking: Understanding of networking protocols and their impact on application performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Containerization: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
