Role Overview:The PYP Spanish Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and inquiry-based Spanish language instruction to primary school students, aligned with the IB PYP framework. The role focuses on developing students communication skills, cultural awareness, and love for languages.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver Spanish lessons in line with IB PYP philosophy and transdisciplinary themes
- Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to support different learning styles
- Integrate language learning with real-life contexts and cultural elements
- Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments
- Maintain records of student development and provide feedback to parents
- Collaborate with homeroom teachers and other specialists for unit planning
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions
Qualifications & Requirements:- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Spanish, Foreign Languages, or related field
- Certification in teaching (B.Ed. or equivalent preferred)
- Experience in IB PYP or international curriculum is an added advantage
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for teaching young learners
