Podar ORT International School (IB) is looking for Primary Years Program - Homeroom Teacher

Location: Worli, Mumbai.

A PYP Teacher in an IB World School is responsible for delivering high-quality, inquiry-based education aligned with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. The role involves planning and implementing transdisciplinary units of inquiry, fostering student agency, and developing the IB Learner Profile attributes. The teacher creates a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and international-mindedness. Collaboration with colleagues, communication with parents, and ongoing professional development are essential aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach according to the PYP framework and curriculum
• Design and facilitate inquiry-driven, concept-based learning experiences
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Assess and document student progress using formative and summative assessments
• Collaborate with grade-level and specialist teams
• Promote student well-being and social-emotional development
• Communicate effectively with parents and the wider school community
• Engage in professional learning and contribute to the school's IB philosophy

Eligibility:

• 3 to 7 years of experience in relevant domain in an IB OR Cambridge school
• Excellent English Communication and ICT Skills
• Bachelor's degree with BEd or IB OR Cambridge Certifications
• Open for joining in a short notice and travelling within Mumbai
