Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced PV Designer based in the Philippines to support US residential solar projects. This is a full-time, long-term role ideal for candidates who have hands-on experience creating permit-ready PV plan sets and are comfortable working within US solar standards and workflows.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design residential solar PV systems for US-based projects
  • Create complete, permit-ready PV plan sets, including: ○ PV layout ○ Single-Line Diagrams (SLD) ○ Basic electrical details ○ General notes aligned with AHJ requirements
  • Perform shading analysis, system sizing, and production estimates
  • Ensure designs comply with NEC guidelines and local AHJ requirements
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, permitting, operations)
  • Review and revise designs based on feedback from utilities or AHJs Must-Have Requirements
  • 1+ year experience in US residential solar PV design
  • Strong hands-on experience with: ○ Aurora Solar ○ AutoCAD
  • Proven ability to create complete PV plan sets (not just proposals)
  • Solid understanding of: ○ NEC basics ○ Fire setback rules ○ Load calculations ○ Shading analysis
  • Experience working with US utilities, AHJs, or solar EPC workflows
  • Ability to work 45-50 hours per week (5.5 days/week)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy Nice-to-Have (Preferred but Not Required)
  • Experience with tools such as: ○ Helioscope ○ PVsyst ○ OpenSolar ○ Sighten
  • Experience designing battery storage systems (e.g., Enphase, ESS)
  • Background in QA, permit review, or design validation
  • Exposure to commercial solar projects (residential focus preferred) Compensation & Work Setup
