The Position

Purchasing Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary

JOB PURPOSE

This position is part of the Purchasing Process and Tools team in India

The Purchasing Data Analyst is responsible for all the master data related to the purchasing tools, working in collaboration with the Purchasing Master Data Administrator and other internal stakeholders for ongoing deployment and support of the Ivalua tool across the Imerys group.

He/ She Will Be Part Of a Purchasing Process & Tools Team In India And Is Accountable For The Following Activities

  • Map all master data related to global purchasing
  • Work on master data mapping between SAP S4 Hana (Opera) and Ivalua
  • Work on mapping spend data from different ERPs with Ivalua.
  • Work on a process improvement of data transfer between systems

The Purchasing Process & Tools team consists of 12 people in India (6), Greece (3), France (2), and Mexico (1).

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

AI & Data Strategy

  • Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all matters related to procurement data, system applications, and AI integration.
  • Drive the AI workstream, leading the development and business adoption of internal tools and smart automation applications.
  • Establish and optimize global policies and procedures for data cleansing and continuous process improvement.

Master Data & System Governance

  • Leverage AI and application logic to execute data quality checks, identify duplicates, and ensure data completeness and correctness.
  • Design and standardize ETL processes within Ivalua to meet evolving and diverse business requirements.
  • Execute high-efficiency master data updates within the Ivalua ecosystem to maintain a single source of truth.

Analytics & Business Partnership

  • Build advanced analytics and dashboards utilizing Ivalua, Excel, and Google Data Studio (Looker Studio) to provide actionable insights.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders regularly to gather key inputs required for master data maintenance and enrichment.
  • Deliver strategic support and technical solutions to the Global Purchasing Team and broader business units.

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Inside the company

  • Hierarchically attached to the Process & Tools APAC Lead based in Hyderabad, India
  • Interdependencies with the Opera project (SAP S/4 implementation)
  • Manage the different stakeholders teams and liaise with the Master Data Community

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Essential

Education and Experience requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in purchasing master data management
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Proficiency in HTML, JSON, and any other type of code
  • Knowledge on AI
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced), Automation knowledge of Macros is a plus.
  • Data Analysis, Analytics, and Visualisation
  • Fluent or native English speaker

Desirable

  • Working experience on Ivalua master data, including ETL & EAI, is a plus
  • G Suite (Google Sheets, Slides, Docs, Drive, etc) is a plus
  • Fluent in any additional Asian language or French is an added advantage
  • Experience of working within a culturally diverse global company
