Brief Job Description:

The Buyer will join our Purchasing team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer. This role provides essential support to the purchasing department, assisting with both administrative duties and entry-level purchasing tasks. The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the department.

Responsibilities: -

  • RM Parts schedule preparation and sharing with supplier
  • Purchase order management as per demand & amendment in demand
  • Coordination with Suppliers, Supplier relationship management by conducting MRG meetings
  • Hand-on Experience on Local Vendor , Material Ordering , Tracking
  • Coordinate with planning, warehouse, logistics & sourcing for ensuring timely delivery of RM parts
  • Knowledge of Imports & Shipment Terms, Customs Clearance.
  • Measure supplier performance against deliveries
  • Inventory impact analysis as per change management
  • Revie MOQ, FLM & Lead time with supplier and sourcing and align as per plant requirement
  • Work on improvement projects for supplier delivery performance enhancement
  • Proactively work on capacity constraint at supplier end for 3 months rolling forecast
  • Review excess and obsolete inventory for RCA and possible liquidation action
  • Coordinate cross-plant problem-solving teams to improve operating performance and meet business objectives.
  • Knowledge of taxes, e-way bill, shipment terms & payment terms
  • Ensure statutory and Legal compliance for buying activities
  • Track & Report generations of Project status - BI / Discover.
  • Hands on experience on Oracle

Qualifications: -

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or bachelor's preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing administrative role or purchasing environment preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP (IFS) or purchasing software is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of purchasing processes and inventory management.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.

Physical & Environmental Demands: -

  • PPE Required when on the production floor earplugs, gloves, eyewear, respirator, mask, etc.
  • Frequent Sitting
  • Frequent Standing

Time Travel Required: -

  • Less than 5%
