Experience: 5+ years in Purchasing / Procurement

Upraisal is looking for experienced procurement professionals for a Purchase Manager opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost optimisation, and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Manage vendor relationships, supplier performance, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with internal teams to understand purchase requirements and develop procurement plans.
• Monitor inventory levels, demand forecasts, and consumption patterns to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives, commodity costing, and value engineering.
• Prepare procurement MIS, performance reports, and cost-saving analyses for management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable procurement policies and regulations.
• Improve procurement processes and support ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Electronics.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within the Indian market.
• Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, supplier development, and negotiation.
• Experience in commodity costing, cost optimisation, and value engineering.
• Good understanding of vendor management, inventory, logistics, and supply chain processes.
• Proficiency in procurement software or ERP systems; knowledge of SAP or Zoho is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
