Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive Purchase Manager to handle end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring timely availability of materials while optimizing cost and maintaining quality standards.
Key Requirements:
- 58 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement
- SAP knowledge is mandatory
- Strong technical understanding of materials/products
- Experience in vendor development & negotiations
- Good coordination and stakeholder management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day procurement operations
- Ensure timely sourcing of materials as per production requirements
- Handle vendor identification, onboarding, and negotiations
- Raise and track purchase orders in SAP
- Coordinate with internal teams (Production, Stores, Finance)
- Monitor inventory levels and avoid shortages/excess stock

- Reduce delays and improve turnaround time

- Achieve cost reductions through effective negotiation
- Identify alternate sourcing options
- Vendor Management
- Maintain and improve vendor performance (quality, cost, delivery)
- Build a reliable vendor base
- SAP & Process Compliance
- Ensure all transactions are updated in SAP
- Maintain documentation and audit compliance
- Inventory Management
- Maintain optimal stock levels
- Minimize excess inventory and stock-outs
- Quality Coordination
- Ensure procured materials meet required quality standards
- Coordinate with QA/Production for issue resolution
- Reporting & MIS
- Track procurement metrics and share reports with management
- Highlight risks, delays, and cost-saving opportunities
