The Senior Manager – Raw Material Procurement will lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement of critical raw materials for Li-Ion battery manufacturing at ARACT. The role involves strategic sourcing, supplier development (domestic & international), cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, manufacturing, and planning teams to ensure uninterrupted production and competitive BOM costs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Lead end-to-end procurement of raw materials for ARACT from domestic and international suppliers
- Develop sourcing strategies for critical Li-Ion battery raw materials (Cathode, Anode, Electrolyte, Separator, Chemicals, Metals, etc.)
- Ensure timely availability of materials aligned with production and project timelines
- Manage procurement planning and execution based on demand forecasts
Vendor Development & Management
- Onboard existing vendors (license partners) into ARACT ecosystem including V-code creation, negotiations, contracting, and PO release
- Scout and develop additional vendors (local & global) through market surveys and supplier evaluation
- Lead commercial negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance management
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure adherence to delivery schedules and quality requirements
Cost Optimization & Commodity Management
- Drive BOM cost target achievement through strategic sourcing and cost optimization initiatives
- Monitor RM indexation for key commodities (Lithium, Nickel, Cobalt, Graphite, Copper, Aluminum, etc.)
- Track global commodity trends and implement cost reduction strategies
- Identify alternate sources and materials for cost efficiency
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D for material sampling, validation, and evaluation
- Ensure timely sample approvals and supplier capacity ramp-up
- Collaborate with production, planning, quality, and finance teams for smooth operations
Systems & Process Management
- Handle ERP and VMS systems for procurement and supplier management
- Act as supplier mentor and escalation point for all raw material requirements
- Ensure timely documentation and proactive procurement planning
- Implement best procurement practices and continuous process improvements

Preferred Qualifications
