As our Purchase Manager, you will be the driving force behind our procurement strategies, ensuring that every materialfrom high-performance textile fabrics to critical metal components is sourced efficiently and meets our rigorous quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Supplier Partnership: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance while maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Negotiation & Contracts: Lead negotiations for terms and conditions to secure optimal pricing and schedules, and manage all procurement contracts for legal compliance.
- Inventory Optimization: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality Control department to ensure all procured materials meet company standards.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor procurement budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends, new products, and supplier capabilities.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree with experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of procurement principles and best practices, Deep understanding of Textile Fabric Procurement (specifications, performance, aesthetics), Knowledge of Webbing, Tapes, and Metal Parts procurement (mechanical properties and manufacturing specs).
- Compliance: Familiarity with industry-specific regulations like AS9100 / ISO 9001.
- Software & Systems: Proficiency in Vendor Management and Inventory Management Systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, budgeting, and cost-optimization skills with the ability to work collaboratively with Cross-Functional Teams (CFT).
