Purchasing Executive

Company Description:

Apple Edibles and Logistics Pvt Ltd. is in the process of food processing & manufacturing. It has setup its new factory at Khopoli near Mumbai.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Head to join our procurement team in the FMCG sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and procuring goods & services that meet the Company's needs while ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Sourcing and Selection -

• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, including financial stability, production capacity, and quality control measures.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual benefits.

Purchasing Management -

• Create and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Track orders and manage deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Collaborate with inventory control teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Budget and Cost Control -

• Develop and manage procurement budgets, tracking spending and analyzing variances.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or delivery.

Compliance and Documentation -

• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience - At least 10 years of experience in procurement within the FMCG sector.

Education - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills -

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with MS Excel for data analysis and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with procurement software and systems.
