Job Description

Purpose of the Role

The Category Manager will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely procurement of goods and services while optimizing cost, quality, and service levels.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned categories.
Manage supplier and vendor relationships to ensure reliable supply and service.
Evaluate supplier proposals, quotations, and recommendations.
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service agreements.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard alternate suppliers.
Monitor procurement timelines and service level agreements (SLAs).
Support internal stakeholders in resolving procurement issues and clarifying requirements.
Conduct spend analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Drive standardization and consolidation initiatives to improve procurement efficiency.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with company policies.
