About The Role:
The Manager Purchase will be responsible for managing the complete procurement function for the Halol plant, ensuring timely sourcing of materials and services. The role involves supplier development, price negotiations, and driving cost, quality, and lead-time improvements while coordinating closely with the factory material planning team.
Purpose: To establish efficient sources for materials and services for the Halol Plant.
Key Activities:Price Negotiations and Suppliers Improvement
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for complete Purchase function for Halol Plant.
- Price negotiation
- New initiatives for Cost reduction, quality improvement and lead time reduction
- Maintain a master chart of suppliers, including establishing item cost sheets, lead-times and lot sizes.
- Close coordination with Factory Material Planning Function.
- Maintaining various reports, ensuring timely and proper distribution of the reports to the concerned as a MIS.
Qualification and Experience:
- B.E. Mechanical, Additional qualification in Management is preferable
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Purchase and Vendor development in Engineering Industry, of which at least 3 years as Asst. Manager.
- Thorough knowledge of Production Purchase and Vendor development; Good Negotiation skill, Exposure to ERP systems; Strong in analytical and logical skills with proven track record of success in a complex production and assembly environment; Expertise on M.S. Excel and Power point;
