About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchase Head to lead the procurement function for a
manufacturing organization. The role involves end-to-end supply chain management, vendor
development, cost optimization, and ensuring efficient procurement operations aligned with business
objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field
Additional certification in Supply Chain / Procurement is an advantage
Required Skills
Strong experience in procurement within manufacturing / pharma / equipment industry
Expertise in vendor management and contract negotiation
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / similar platforms preferred)
Understanding of import/export documentation and compliance
Strong analytical and cost optimization skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Strong decision-making and strategic thinking mindset
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes
- Verify and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
- Monitor receivables and follow up with clients for timely payments
- Maintain proper records of all transactions
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare creditors ageing reports and track outstanding liabilities
- Assist in preparing financial statements and periodic reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Reconciliation
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Conduct party ledger reconciliations and ensure data accuracy
- Maintain updated and accurate financial records
Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including TDS, GST, and other applicable regulations
- Assist in filing returns and maintaining proper documentation for audits
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting standards
MIS & Documentation
- Prepare MIS reports as required by management
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Assist in internal and external audits
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Hands-on experience in accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations
- Basic knowledge of TDS, GST, and statutory compliance
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel (formulas, data handling, reporting)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and coordination abilities
