KRA's for Purchase Head ( Famous & Listed Biscuit & Bread Manufacturing Company)-Ludhiana/Gurgaon will be:
1. Overall responsibility for Purchasing RM/Commodities/PM and building Systems in a Promoter-driven Business for Cost Estimating activities across Key Food ingredients like Wheat, Sugar, Palm Oil & Refined Oils & Commodities plus Spices, Seasonings, Fruits, Maze products, Cocoa products, Chemicals, Emulsifiers etc for- 5 Manufacring locations in India.
2. Create and implement best practices in Purchasing/Procurement strtategy, processes and procedures to Source Commodities/Wheat flour/Sugar/Palm Oil and Fats at competitive rates improveProduction of top Quality food products like Biscuits,Bread/Bakery items.
3. Ensure that strategic Sourcing processes/procedures are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets, which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market to include: Terms and conditions, supplier selection/de-selection, evaluation and rationalization of supply chain solutions including vendor managed inventory, supplier consignments and safety stock.
4. Take ownership of the purchasing policy, guidelines and any associated documents required for procurement of Food ingredients, grains, cereals, dairy,packaging products etc. for a well known Food products mfg company.
5. Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level.
6. Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from management if appropriate.
7. Develop, implement and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance.
8. Provide leadership to departments under control. Coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance.
9. Prepare the annual Purchasing budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals (CAPEX/OPEX) as well as ensuring compliance with customer and legal requirements.
10. Review the use of technological systems like SAP that support a more environmentally friendly approach.
11. Experience of handling multi units located at different places will be an advantage.
Professionals from companies like Parle Biscuits, Brittania, ITC or other Bread & Biscuit Industries will be preferred.
Salary: 24 to 42 LPA or as per his existing salary structure
