Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate vendors for medical devices, diagnostic equipment, surgical instruments, lab analysers, consumables, and hospital furniture/infrastructure items.
- Collect and compare quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers.
- Support CapEx procurement for hospital setup and lab setup projects — coordinating equipment lists, specifications, lead times, and installation schedules.
- Maintain and update the vendor database, product catalogues, pricing records, and purchase trackers
- Coordinate with the sales and projects team to align purchase timelines with client delivery commitments, especially for institutional and tender-based orders.
- Assist with documentation — manufacturer authorisation letters, product certifications, Drug Licence compliance, import paperwork, and quality certificates.
- Track inventory levels of fast-moving consumables and flag reorder requirements proactively.
- Build relationships with manufacturer representatives and distributors to secure better pricing, credit terms, and priority allocation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in procurement, purchase, or supply chain — preferably in medical devices, hospital equipment, pharma distribution, or healthcare.
- Familiarity with medical device and equipment categories — diagnostics, surgical, lab, patient monitoring, consumables, or similar.
- Basic understanding of hospital and laboratory setup requirements from a procurement perspective — what goes into equipping a facility.
- Comfort with Excel/Google Sheets for tracking, comparison sheets, and basic MIS.
- Strong follow-up discipline and ability to manage multiple vendors and timelines simultaneously.
