We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Executive for our construction company located in Salem. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of experience in procurement or a related field, with a strong understanding of construction materials and excellent negotiation skills. This role involves sourcing and purchasing materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that all procurement activities align with project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Source and procure construction materials and supplies as per project requirements.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to replenish stock as needed.
- Assist in preparing purchase orders and tracking order status until delivery.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding procurement.
- Collaborate with project managers to forecast material needs based on project timelines.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of construction materials and their specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with procurement software or ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to analyze market trends and vendor performance.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
