Purchase Engineer/Sr. Engineer

• Buying knowledge of Raw Material like steel plates ,Electrical, Hydraulic& Pneumatic items, Oil & Lubricants , Bearings and capital goods .
• Knowledge and conversant with auction/disposal of scrap.
• Knowledge of Stores management & Inventory control is preferred.
• MIS preparation such as Monthly Review reports related to Materials deptt.
• Willing to travel frequently in India for follow ups
• Excellent negotiation skills for getting competitive pricing &to focus on savings on materials.
• Excellent oral & written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Taxes & duties applicable on indigenous & overseas procurement.
• Experience in rate contracts.
• Knowledge of working on computers including word, excel, power point & SAP/ERP.
• Commitment to provide quality product at right price at right time.
• To implement innovate cost reduction measures to procure the material at lowest possible price.

Preferred Candidate profile:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engg OR Degree in Mechanical Engg with 10-14 (Diploma) or 5 -8 (Degree) years of experience having more than 60% marks throughout his academic record.
• Additional qualification in Materials Management is preferred.
• Experience of Procurement in engineering/capital goods manufacturing company.
