Purchase Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Purchase Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices while maintaining quality standards. This role is suitable for candidates with 0-3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs to prevent shortages.
• Assist in developing procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management principles.
