Job Description

Procurement Management

  • Manage procurement requirements for indirect materials and services across Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, Sales, Service, HR, Administration, Finance, IT, and other support functions.
  • Review and process purchase requisitions in accordance with procurement policies and approval matrices.
  • Float RFQs/RFPs, obtain quotations, prepare techno-commercial comparisons, and recommend sourcing decisions.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, payment conditions, delivery schedules, warranties, and service-level agreements.
  • Create and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and Service Purchase Orders (SPOs) through the ERP system.
  • Track order execution and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain a competitive supplier base for assigned procurement categories.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and monitor vendor performance on quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
  • Resolve supplier-related commercial and operational issues while maintaining productive business relationships.

Contract & Commercial Management

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer service agreements, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), rate contracts, work orders, and other commercial contracts.
  • Coordinate with the Legal department to finalize contractual documentation.
  • Ensure timely renewal and compliance of all procurement-related contracts.

CAPEX Procurement

  • Support procurement activities for capital expenditure projects, including equipment, machinery, utilities, facility improvements, and associated services.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with OEMs, contractors, and service providers.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Project teams to meet project timelines.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Partner with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and recommend appropriate sourcing strategies.
  • Provide timely procurement support while balancing cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
  • Ensure effective communication between users and suppliers throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, delegated authority, contractual obligations, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain complete procurement documentation for audit and traceability.
  • Prepare procurement MIS reports, spend analysis, savings reports, and supplier performance reports.
  • Support internal and external audits related to procurement activities.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in indirect procurement within a manufacturing or engineering organization.
  • Hands-on experience in procurement of services, maintenance items, engineering consumables, facilities management, and indirect categories.
  • Experience in handling commercial negotiations, vendor development, contract management, and CAPEX procurement.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and sourcing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of commercial contracts, service agreements, and procurement compliance.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement analytics.
