Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchase and Supply Chain Executive located in Gurugram. The role involves managing purchase processes, coordinating supply chain operations, demand planning, and production planning. The executive will work to ensure supply chain efficiency, enhance operational processes, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding and experience in Demand Planning and Production Planning
  • Demonstrated expertise in Supply Chain Operations and related processes
  • Advanced Analytical Skills for data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent Communication skills for stakeholder engagement and collaboration

  • Educational background in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred

POSITION OVERVIEW

A Procurement, Shipping, and Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for seamlessly integrating procurement and

shipping processes while also incorporating supply chain management strategies. This role involves forecasting

demand, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring a smooth flow of goods from suppliers to end-users. The Specialist

collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

As a Procurement Specialist at Stone Depot, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, from

identifying suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Your role will play a

crucial part in maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and strong relationships with vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS & KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

- 4+ years of proven experience as a Procurement, Shipping, and Supply Chain Specialist or in a similar role.

- International exposure is essential.

- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.

- Knowledge of procurement, shipping, logistics, and supply chain best practices, including contract law and industry

trends.

- Proficiency in procurement, shipping, and supply chain software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Goal-driven and innovative.

- Astute decision-maker and problem solver.

- Good understanding of supply chain and operations.

- Experience working with the Australian region is an advantage.

JOB DESCRIPTION PROCURMENT & SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This integrated role addresses the complexities of modern supply chain management by combining procurement,

shipping, and supply chain responsibilities.

1. Sourcing and Vendor Management

-Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and establish relationships to secure advantageous

terms.

-Collaborate with vendors to optimize supply chain processes and adapt to demand fluctuations.

2. Procurement Planning

-Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop effective procurement

strategies.

-Incorporate order forecasting data into procurement plans to ensure optimal inventory levels.

3. Contract Negotiation

-Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, incorporating terms related to shipping, logistics, and supply

chain management.

-Ensure contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

4. Shipping Coordination

-Oversee and coordinate the shipping and transportation of goods from suppliers to the organization's facilities.

-Negotiate shipping terms, freight rates, and delivery schedules, considering supply chain demands.

5. Order Forecasting

-Utilize historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to forecast demand for products.

-Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather insights for accurate forecasting.

6. Inventory Optimization

-Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and minimize stockouts.

-Work with warehouse management to ensure efficient storage and distribution of inventory.

7. Supplier Relationship Management

-Foster positive relationships with key suppliers, emphasizing collaboration on order forecasting and supply chain

optimization.

-Conduct regular evaluations of suppliers and shipping partners.

8. Compliance and Risk Management

-Ensure procurement, shipping, and supply chain activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and

ethical standards.
