Job Title: Purchase Analyst
Department: Planning
Location: Peenya
Job Purpose
The Purchase Analyst is responsible for analyzing procurement data, optimizing purchasing strategies, and supporting the procurement team in achieving cost efficiency, timely sourcing, and supplier performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends
Prepare and evaluate RFQs (Request for Quotation) and POs (Purchase Orders)
Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, pricing)
Compare vendor quotations and recommend best sourcing options
Track material requirements and ensure timely procurement
Maintain accurate procurement records and reports
Support negotiation strategies with suppliers
Coordinate with internal departments (Production, Stores, Quality)
Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures
Develop reports and dashboards for management review
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain
Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Analysis)
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP)
Good communication and negotiation skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under deadlines
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain / Management
Experience
MBA (Supply Chain / Operations) – Preferred
1–4 years of experience in procurement / purchase / supply chain
Freshers with strong analytical skills can also be considered
