Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and high-energy Publicist to lead the narrative for India's premier bicycle brand. You will be responsible for managing the brand's public image, handling media relations, and executing high-impact PR campaigns that resonate across rural and urban markets. The ideal candidate has deep experience in the Indian media landscape and a passion for the evolving mobility and fitness industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Media Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with national and regional media (print, TV, and digital), specifically focusing on lifestyle, fitness, and business journalists.
- Strategic Storytelling: Craft compelling press releases, executive speeches, and thought-leadership articles for the leadership team (e.g., the Pahwa family).
- Crisis Management: Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and manage any potential PR crises to protect the brand's 75+ year legacy.
- Brand Campaigns: Plan and execute PR strategies for new product launches, such as high-end MTB series, E-bikes, and fitness equipment.
- Events & CSR: Lead PR for local and national events, including trade shows, cycling rallies, and our extensive CSR initiatives in Punjab.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track media coverage and provide monthly reports on Earned Media Value (EMV) and brand sentiment compared to competitors like Hero and Hercules.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5–7 years in PR or Corporate Communications. Experience in the Automobile, Manufacturing, or FMCG sectors is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, or Mass Communication.
- Communication: Exceptional writing skills in English and the ability to communicate fluently in Hindi and Punjabi (essential for regional media relations in Ludhiana).
- Network: An established Rolodex of media contacts across North India and national business bureaus.
- Agility: Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Comfortable working from our Ludhiana headquarters (G.T. Road).
