Job Description

This is not a send press release and chill role.

You'll be in the middle of everything we're trying to say externally — launches, founder narratives, product stories, and moments that deserve attention.

What you'll own

  • Turning everyday company updates into stories worth pitching
  • Writing fast - press notes, pitches, founder quotes, reactive statements
  • Reaching out to journalists and actually getting responses (not just sending mails into the void)
  • Managing follow-ups, nudges, and last-minute asks without things slipping
  • Tracking what lands, what doesn't - and figuring out why
  • Being on top of the news cycle to plug us into relevant conversations

What this role needs (beyond basics)

  • You have a nose for what's a story vs what's noise
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity — half the time the brief won't be perfect
  • You can handle pressure / quick turnarounds without panicking
  • You don't wait for instructions — you push things forward
  • You care about outcomes (coverage, quality), not just activity
