Job Description

We are seeking a Public Relations Specialist to contribute to PR campaigns, develop content, and manage media relations. You will be responsible for drafting quotes and social media posts, preparing media pitch notes, and creating monthly and quarterly reviews. This role requires a professional with a degree in Journalism or Mass Communication, a strong network of journalists, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • PR Strategy & Content: Contribute to discussions on story ideas and planning PR campaigns. Develop content and draft quotes for various platforms. Prepare category and competition scans.
  • Media Relations: Scan the latest print and online news to identify relevant story ideas. Prepare media pitch notes and connect with a network of journalists on a pan-India basis.
  • Digital & Social Media: Draft social media posts and find relevant tags and hashtags. Understand and engage with new-age media platforms like Twitter Spaces and podcasts.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly and quarterly reviews to track campaign performance.

Skills Required

  • Prior experience of 2 to 10 years working in public relations and brand building with a PR firm.
  • A degree in Journalism or Mass Communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make presentations.
  • Strong network of journalists and associates on a pan-India basis.
  • Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Sheets, and Docs.
  • Knowledge of the stock market and mutual funds is a plus.

QUALIFICATION:

  • A degree in Journalism or Mass Communication is a key requirement.
