About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Manager – BFSI to lead communication mandates for clients in the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) sector. The ideal candidate will bring strong sector understanding, excellent media relations, strategic communication capabilities, and proven experience in managing client relationships while delivering impactful PR outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day communication mandates for a portfolio of BFSI clients, ensuring seamless execution and high service standards.
- Develop and implement strategic PR and corporate communication plans aligned with client business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial, business, and mainstream media to drive meaningful coverage and brand visibility.
- Identify proactive storytelling opportunities, thought leadership angles, and sector-led narratives for clients.
- Draft and oversee high-quality communication materials including press releases, media pitches, opinion pieces, leadership articles, and briefing documents.
- Support senior leadership on executive profiling, reputation management, and crisis communication planning.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, fintech developments, and market movements to provide strategic insights to clients.
- Drive integrated communication initiatives across media relations, digital amplification, events, and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead internal teams on execution, ensuring timelines, quality, and strategic alignment are maintained.
- Participate in new business development, client pitches, and expansion of existing mandates.
Key Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in Public Relations / Strategic Communications, with relevant exposure to BFSI clients.
- Strong understanding of banking, insurance, fintech, NBFCs, lending, wealth management, and financial markets.
- Established relationships with journalists across business and financial media.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong client management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to independently manage accounts while mentoring junior team members.
- Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Finance, Business, or related field.
