About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and creative
Public Relations Intern to support our communications and PR team in maintaining a positive public image of the organization. This internship provides hands-on experience in media relations, campaign planning, event coordination, and social media strategy. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the fundamentals of public relations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing publicity strategies, campaigns, and social media calendars.
- Support in developing PR strategies for product launches, promotions, and ongoing initiatives.
- Help draft and edit press releases, media advisories, newsletters, and other communication materials.
- Collaborate with the content team to produce engaging and relevant social media updates.
- Conduct research on industry trends, media outlets, and competitor activities.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating promotional events, press conferences, and exhibitions.
- Maintain and update media contact lists and assist in building relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Track media coverage and prepare summary reports for internal use.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new campaigns and outreach strategies.
- Support the team in managing PR budgets, deadlines, and project schedules as needed.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and materials for internal and external communication.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with social media platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute new ideas.
- Basic understanding of media relations, press releases, and content creation is a plus.
