Position Summary
The Public Health Associate will support planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of public health and clinical research initiatives. The role requires strong field coordination, documentation skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to initiate and facilitate early-stage government discussions with NHM officials, district health authorities, and public sector partners.
- Program Implementation & Coordination
- Support end-to-end implementation of public health programs across assigned sites (hospitals, communities, partner institutions).
- Coordinate with government stakeholders (NHM, district officials), CSR teams, NGOs, and partner hospitals.
- Ensure timely execution of project activities, field visits, training, and monitoring tasks.
- Government Engagement (NHM & District Health System)
- Initiate first-level discussions with government stakeholders, including NHM state officials, district health authorities, Medical Superintendents, and program officers.
- Support follow-ups, meeting scheduling, documentation, and preparation of proposals for government review.
- Assist senior leadership during high-level review meetings by preparing briefs, presentations, and technical notes.
- Data Management & Analytics
- Collect, clean, and analyse quantitative and qualitative data from field sites.
- Support preparation of dashboards, monitoring frameworks, and MIS reports.
- Assist in analysing clinical or programmatic datasets for decision-making.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Develop high-quality reports, project briefs, proposals, case studies, SOPs, and technical documents.
- Support grant applications, CSR proposals, and strategic presentations.
- Prepare field visit reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates.
- Research Support
- Assist in designing and conducting pilot studies, surveys, and public health assessments.
- Coordinate ethics submissions, data collection tools, and research protocols as required.
- Liaise with partner hospitals for study logistics and documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Conduct regular communication with implementation partners, hospital teams, field staff, and internal stakeholders.
- Support training sessions, workshops, and capacity-building activities.
- Operational & Administrative Support
- Manage project timelines, budgets, procurement coordination, and logistics.
- Monitor field implementation quality and adherence to SOPs.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Management, Social Sciences, Community Medicine, or related field.
- 34 years of relevant experience in public health program implementation, monitoring & evaluation, clinical research, or CSR health projects.
- Experience working with government systems (NHM, district health officials) preferred.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with data tools (Tableau, STATA/SPSS/R) is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for field visits as required.
