The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance the quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. The Hans Foundation works for the health and well-being of remote and under-served groups, with an additional focus on children, persons with disabilities, and women. THF also works for holistic Education and Livelihood development of our communities. Our Two-Fold Strategy involves identifying and working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index in the North, North-East, and East regions within specific states, as well as catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities, through urban programs.
Over its 15 years of existence, THF has reached more than 35 million beneficiaries through its programs. THF works with communities through the direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing local management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organizations in India funded through THF USA and RIST.

Hans Child Development Centre provides multidisciplinary services to children with special needs, including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Speech & Language Impairment, Locomotor Disabilities, Down Syndrome, ADHD, and other developmental disabilities.
The
Behavior Modification Therapist (Psychologist) will be responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans to address challenging behaviors, enhance social skills, and promote positive coping strategies in children. This role involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and active engagement with parents to ensure consistent support across therapy and home environments.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral and psychological assessments to identify triggers, strengths, and areas of need.
- Develop and implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans tailored to each child's developmental profile.
- Use evidence-based techniques (e.g., Applied Behavior Analysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Social Skills Training) to reduce maladaptive behaviors and reinforce positive behaviors.
- Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions focusing on emotional regulation, attention, communication, and social interaction.
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate documentation, and modify strategies as required.
- Educate and train parents/caregivers on behavior management strategies for use at home.
- Collaborate with special educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to ensure integrated care.
- Conduct workshops or training sessions for staff and parents on behavior management techniques.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.
Other Indicative Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or Counseling Psychology from a recognized institution.
Functional / Technical Skills and Relevant Experience & Other requirements (Behavioural, Language, Certifications etc.)
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in behavior therapy or child psychology, preferably in pediatric or special needs settings (freshers with strong skills may also be considered).
Knowledge of ABA, CBT, play therapy, and other behavioral modification strategies.
