Job Description – Psychiatrist

Job Location-Kathua, J&K

Position: Psychiatrist

Location: Jammu & Kashmir (J&K)

Experience: 2–5 Years / Experienced Candidates

Qualification: MD/DNB in Psychiatry

License: Valid medical registration/license to practice in Jammu & Kashmir is mandatory

Budget-Max upto 3LPA/Month

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and compassionate Psychiatrist to diagnose, assess, and treat patients with mental health and psychiatric conditions. The candidate will provide appropriate medical and psychological care while maintaining patient confidentiality and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric assessments and mental health evaluations.

Diagnose and manage psychiatric and behavioral disorders.

Develop individualized treatment plans for patients.

Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications as required.

Provide counseling and appropriate therapeutic guidance.

Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when necessary.

Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.

Coordinate with psychologists, counselors, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Handle psychiatric emergencies and provide appropriate intervention.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medication, and mental health management.

Required Qualifications

MD/DNB in Psychiatry from a recognized institution.

Valid medical registration/license to practice in Jammu & Kashmir is mandatory.

Valid registration with the applicable medical council/authority.

Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.

Good knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis, medication management, and treatment protocols.

Freshers with relevant MD qualification can be considered.
