PRT English

Role Summary

The PRT English teacher is responsible for teaching foundational English skills to primary students, including reading, phonics, vocabulary, and basic grammar, through activitybased and childcentered learning methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

Teach foundational English to primary grades through interactive and engaging lessons.

Facilitate phonicsbased learning, reading programs, and storybased activities.

Support early literacy development through structured practice.

Assessment & Evaluation

Conduct regular assessments and maintain student progress records.

Provide constructive feedback and share updates with parents when required.

Classroom Management & Child Engagement

Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.

Use ageappropriate teaching aids, digital tools, and activitybased strategies.

Collaboration & School Participation

Participate in school events, academic planning, and training sessions.

Work with other teachers to ensure academic continuity across grades.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in English / Education.

D.Ed or B.Ed mandatory.

13 years of primary teaching experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

Strong command over foundational English concepts and phonics.

Excellent communication and childhandling skills.

Ability to conduct activitybased and experiential learning.

Familiarity with digital teaching tools and primarylevel pedagogy.
