Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Prototyping Intern to support R&D and product

development activities.

• Coordinate with manufacturing and fabrication vendors for prototype development.
• Travel/commute between the office and manufacturing vendor locations for fabrication, inspection, and follow-up activities.
• Support prototype fabrication, machining, welding, and mechanical assembly.
• Assist in the fabrication of welding and assembly fixtures.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and communicate requirements to vendors.
• Support 2D drafting and modification of engineering drawings.
• Assist in prototype assembly, modifications, trials, and testing.
• Perform basic dimensional inspection of fabricated components.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure prototype parts are manufactured as per requirements.
• Identify manufacturing issues and communicate them to the engineering team.
• Maintain records of prototype parts, revisions, fabrication status, and vendor activities.
• Prepare and maintain Minutes of Meeting (MoM) for technical discussions, design reviews, and product development meetings.
• Track and document key technical decisions, action items, responsibilities, and timelines from product development discussions.

Qualification & Technical Skills

B.E/ Diploma in Mechanical / Manufacturing with one year experience.

• Good knowledge of fundamental mechanical engineering subjects, including:

1. Strength of Materials (SOM)
2. Engineering Mechanics
3. Thermodynamics
4. Theory of Machines

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, including:

1. Turning
2. Milling
3. Tapping and other special machining operations

• Basic knowledge of MIG, TIG, and Arc welding.
• Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication and fixture fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Basic 2D drafting/CAD skills.
• Understanding mechanical assembly, fits, clearances, and tolerances will be an advantage.
• Good hands-on and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to accurately document technical discussions and maintain MoMs.
• Willingness to work closely with manufacturing vendors and travel locally.
• Valid two-wheeler driving license is mandatory.
• Strong willingness to learn and work in a hands-on R&D environment.
