Southern Lubrication Pvt. Ltd., established in 1990, designs and builds lubrication systems and piping skids for rotating machinery in power plants, refineries, and petrochemicals. We supply major OEMs in India and abroad, emphasizing reliable design and performance.  

Role Description

The Proposals Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end tendering and proposal activity — from understanding customer specifications and preparing techno-commercial offers to coordinating with design and procurement teams for cost inputs. You will be a key point of contact for customers during the pre-order phase, ensuring our proposals are accurate, competitive, and technically compliant.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years in proposals, tendering, or estimation in mechanical / piping domains within power, oil & gas, or petrochemical sectors
• Working familiarity with ASME, ANSI, and API standards as applicable to piping and rotating equipment systems
• AutoCAD 2D for drawing interpretation; MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for estimation and documentation
• Strong written and spoken English for customer correspondence, proposal narratives, and internal coordination
• Understanding of commercial terms — payment milestones, Incoterms, warranty clauses, and contract conditions
