Job Description

Proposal Team Lead, India LCS

India - Bangalore, Noida, Gurgaon

This role plays a pivotal role in leading a team of proposal engineers to develop technical and commercial proposals that align with Rockwell Automation's business objectives and customer needs.

They are responsible for:

. Overseeing the entire proposal development process, from initial planning and scoping to final delivery and presentation to the customer.

. Ensures delivery of high-quality proposals are developed within the framework of Rockwell Automation's business and financial goals while adhering to internal policies and industry standards.

. Provide guidance to the proposal engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality proposals and serving as a trusted proposal/pricing advisor to the sales organization and distributor.

. Act as the subject matter expert for the customer, sales organization, and Business Unit, leveraging their specialized understanding of related products and comprehensive delivery offerings from RA, partners, and competitors in designated focus areas.

. Support as a technical resource for Rockwell Automation technology, products, services, and solutions within their area(s) of expertise, articulating value, estimations, and effectively positioning Rockwell Automation's offerings and solutions to customers.

Your Responsibilities:

. Lead a team of 10-12 proposal engineers and guides functional excellence in developing comprehensive Technical and Commercial Proposals following the industry standards and internal policy compliance.

. Passionate about leading people and work on their development. Organize and schedule job tasks with your team by providing leadership to the assigned team and drive productivity.

. Deliver and implement the assigned proposal on time with good quality, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

. Lead proposal process from receiving request to throughout the entire proposal delivery ensuring seamless integration of proposed solutions to compliance with customer's requirements.

. Develop quality process and ensure strict adherence. Work and guide the proposal team for support on estimation and proposal delivery.

. Ensure that all audits (internal/external) are adequately documented, and significant risk are dealt in a timely manner.

Collaboration

. Aligning the business goals with India Regional stakeholders including the Commercial, Delivery teams and Business Managers.

. Collaborate with various departments in the India Region, including sales, finance, legal, procurement, engineering, and project management, to ensure that proposals meet client requirements and align with company goals.

. Collaborate with Technical Lead / SMEs to clarify technical issues and ability to present proposed solution to the stakeholders, and coordinate development tasks with team members.

. Collaborate with Project Managers for scope management, deliver execution plans and effectively propose the execution with good quality, cost effectiveness, risks assessment and project duration/schedule.

. Engage with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for increased engagement, seek feedback on proposal deliverables and to improve overall engagement.

Continuous Improvement

. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the proposal development process, including process optimization, standardization, knowledge sharing.

. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the team by encouraging the exchange of best practices, lessons learned, and innovative solutions to improve the capabilities and effectiveness of the proposal team.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

Good reading and experience of reviewing technical RFQ/RFI/RFP documents

Demonstrated understanding of larger Rockwell Automation application value including knowledge in Automation products including Control Systems/PLC, Standard Drives, Software, Networks, other process/manufacturing applications and ideally good knowledge of third-party products.

Exhibit the ability to handle complex tasks with confidence, and ensuring successful outcomes for proposals.

Work with and gain confidence of senior level personnel (internal and external) in a highly collaborative, matrixed stakeholder organisation.

Educational Qualifications/Work Experience:

• Bachelor's in Electrical / Instrumentation / Control / Electronics / Chemical or any relevant engineering qualification
• 10+ years of relevant experience in automation engineering on Control Ssytems / PLCs (e.g. Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa)
• Has 8 or more years of experience in Proposals and Commercials areas.
• Strong command of English (written and spoken).
• Wlling to travel 25% of the time.
