Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Property Underwriter, based in Gurugram. The Property Underwriter will support the underwriting team in evaluating property insurance risks, preparing quotations, analyzing policy terms, and coordinating with insurance companies. The role involves data analysis, documentation, policy issuance support, and assisting in renewals and endorsements while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines.

This position is suitable for freshers to professionals with up to 2 years of experience who are keen to build a career in insurance underwriting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in underwriting and risk assessment for property insurance policies
• Analyze proposals, risk details, loss history, and coverage requirements
• Prepare quotations, comparisons, and underwriting summaries
• Coordinate with insurers for pricing, terms, and policy issuance
• Support policy servicing, renewals, endorsements, and documentation
• Maintain accurate records and underwriting data in CRM and internal systems
• Use Excel for data analysis, MIS reports, and premium calculations
• Communicate clearly with internal teams, insurers, and clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
• 02 years of experience in insurance underwriting or related roles (Property preferred)
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas preferred)
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and in a team
• Experience in the insurance industry will be an added advantage
