Role Description The Prompt Engineering Tutor role is a full-time remote position focused on teaching learners how to design, refine, and evaluate prompts for AI and language models. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing clear, practical lesson plans, delivering online training sessions, and creating learning materials such as examples, exercises, and assessments. The tutor will review learner work, provide structured feedback, and guide individuals in applying prompt engineering techniques to real-world use cases. The role also involves staying current with advances in AI tools, updating curriculum content accordingly, and collaborating with the recruitment and training teams to align instruction with industry needs. The tutor is expected to maintain a supportive, inclusive learning environment and use data from learner performance to continuously improve teaching methods.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of prompt engineering, including prompt design, iteration, and evaluation for large language models and other AI tools.
  • Experience with AI platforms and tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar LLM interfaces, API-based workflows, basic understanding of machine learning concepts).
  • Teaching, tutoring, or training experience, with the ability to explain complex technical topics in clear, accessible language.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create structured educational content and constructive feedback.
  • Comfort with online teaching environments, remote collaboration tools, and learning management systems or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and an instructional focus on practical, hands-on learning.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt content for learners at different skill levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Education, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Knowledge of software development, data science, or AI/ML industry practices is a plus.
  • Prior experience in curriculum design, technical writing, or educational content creation is an advantage.
