A prompt engineer designs, tests, and refines the text-based instructions (prompts) given to AI models, like ChatGPT or Gemini, to get the most accurate, relevant, and useful outputs for specific applications, essentially acting as a translator between human intent and AI understanding

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Crafting: Writing clear, context-rich prompts that guide the AI to perform tasks. Architecting the end-to-end logic flow, tool integration, and structural framework of the AI interaction.

Testing & Iteration: Experimenting with different prompt variations (e.g., zero-shot, few-shot, self-ask) to optimize AI performance and consistency.

Application Integration: Embedding optimized prompts into software, chatbots, and other products for end-users.

Ethical Oversight: Considering fairness, bias, and cultural sensitivity in prompts and AI outputs.

Collaboration: Working with developers, designers, and subject matter experts to apply AI in practical scenarios.
