Role Overview
The Projects Head will play a pivotal leadership role, overseeing project management, execution, vendor ecosystems, client relationships, and business development. This is a hands-on, high-impact role requiring strategic thinking as well as on-ground execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of multiple turnkey projects across retail, commercial, and warehousing formats
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to defined quality benchmarks
- Oversee planning, procurement, site execution, quality control, and handover
- Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies
Vendor & Partner Management
- Build and manage a strong network of vendors, contractors, and suppliers
- Negotiate commercial terms to ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality
- Monitor vendor performance and enforce delivery timelines and standards
Business Development & Growth
- Support business development efforts through client pitches, proposals, and solutioning
- Collaborate with leadership to identify new opportunities, sectors, and key accounts
- Assist in pricing strategies, feasibility assessments, and project costing
Client Relations
- Act as a senior point of contact for key clients
- Build long-term relationships through trust, transparency, and consistent delivery
- Handle escalations professionally and ensure client satisfaction
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and mentor project managers, site teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Drive accountability, performance management, and team development
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and execution excellence
Reporting & Governance
- Track project KPIs, financials, and operational metrics
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and business performance
- Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and operational standards
Must-Have Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in turnkey fit-outs, interiors, construction, retail projects, or a related field, with proven execution and leadership results
- Excellent vendor network and project costing abilities
- Strong command over spoken English and Hindi
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams, complex projects, and multiple stakeholders
