Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Technical Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end technical development and industrialization of vehicle programs
  • Manage technical configuration, complexity, and scope (EBOM, Visual BOM, Scope Sheet)
  • Drive design validation, process validation, and tooling kickoff activities
  • Lead change management and decision-making forums, evaluating QCTP impacts
  • Resolve design conflicts, packaging issues, and manufacturing challenges
  • Coordinate with Vehicle System Manager (VSM), engineering teams, and manufacturing
  • Ensure technical convergence across Body, Chassis, Electronics, Software, and Propulsion systems
  • Manage pre-SOP updates and readiness of vehicles prior to launch
  • Support digital and physical vehicle builds (assembly validation, slow build phase)
  • Quality Management & Assurance
  • Own and drive project quality objectives and KPIs across all phases
  • Maintain and track Quality dashboards and performance indicators
  • Lead risk management (FMEA, lessons learned, preventive & corrective actions)
  • Ensure robust product definition and RFQ quality requirements
  • Represent the voice of customer in all project decisions
  • Manage supplier quality (APQP), from sourcing to project completion
  • Ensure component traceability and compliance
  • Drive defect detection, root cause analysis, and resolution
  • Industrialization & Launch Management
  • Coordinate project–plant interface for smooth industrialization
  • Ensure product and process readiness during industrial phase
  • Manage incoming inspection, defect management, and containment actions
  • Oversee quality operations during launch and post-launch phases
  • Handle field issues, customer claims, and early warning systems
  • Ensure successful transition to mass production (serial life)
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with:
  • Engineering teams (Subsystems & System Engineering)
  • Manufacturing & Plant teams
  • Suppliers and external partners
  • Platform, Modules, and Advanced Engineering teams
  • Brand and regional teams for product alignment
  • Governance & Decision Support
  • Lead project reviews, decision meetings, and escalation forums
  • Ensure alignment with global and regional requirements
  • Provide technical and quality inputs for strategic project decisions

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in automotive product development & vehicle engineering
  • Experience in project management, change management, and cross-functional leadership
  • Deep understanding of quality systems (APQP, FMEA, root cause analysis, etc.)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrialization
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and escalations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in automotive OEM / Tier-1 environment
  • Exposure to vehicle program management and full lifecycle development
  • Familiarity with global automotive standards and compliance requirements
