Brief Description About The Project
This is This is a multi-centre study initiated by ICMR 1st to develop rapid, indigenous and cost-effective diagnostic platforms, including an AI-integrated biosensor and isothermal RPA assays, for the early detection of clinically important fungal pathogens These assays will enable POCTs in resource-limited settings improving timely diagnosis and clinical management. The AI-driven image-based diagnostic application will facilitate early diagnosis with minimal expertise and infrastructure in rural and remote areas. The research will also generate disease database and geospatial maps, providing insights into prevalence, distribution and burden of fungal infections in India. The AMDRC lab at St. John's is one of the participating centres in the study.
