Project Manager - Wind

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the design, engineering, and construction phases of wind energy projects from initiation to completion
• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive project proposals or work plans, defining timelines, funding limits, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation to meet project objectives
• Establish and oversee work plans, staffing, and budgets for each project phase, including design, engineering, procurement, and construction, and coordinate recruitment or assignment of project personnel
• Set and manage the project engineering, procurement, and construction budgets; monitor expenditures, review forecasts, and report to accounting to ensure the project remains within budget
• Conduct regular project meetings with management, clients, and subcontractors to communicate status, confirm execution plans, and coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities
• Provide or coordinate engineering support for project development, permitting, and regulatory compliance activities as needed
• Oversee execution and compliance with construction contracts, ensuring all scopes of work are effectively implemented
• Support project developers in project development activities, including risk management, securing power off-take agreements, financing arrangements, equity acquisitions, and preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
• Collaborate with the development department to ensure smooth transition of sites into the construction phase
• Work with the legal department to facilitate development, negotiation, and execution of project contracts such as MOUs, term sheets, turbine supply agreements, equipment purchase agreements, warranty agreements, and commissioning agreements
• Coordinate external bidding processes for procurement of goods and services, including preparation of bid packages, evaluation of proposals, contract negotiations, and providing recommendations to senior management
• Collaborate with Asset Management and Operations teams to define project turnover requirements and assist with smooth project transition upon completion
• Supervise the work of Construction Managers and quality control personnel, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements under contracts, lender agreements, and internal management
