Role Description The Project Manager role at Unicel Greens is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The Project Manager will oversee end-to-end project planning, scheduling, and execution for recycling and facility development projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and budget. Daily responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, managing vendors and contractors, tracking project milestones, and addressing risks or delays through proactive problem-solving. The role involves monitoring expediting activities, supervising inspection processes, and collaborating with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials. The Project Manager will prepare status reports, maintain documentation, and communicate regularly with stakeholders to support safe, efficient, and sustainable project outcomes.
About the Role
The Project Coordination & EPC Interface Manager will represent Unicel Greens throughout the project lifecycle, acting as the single point of coordination between the company, consultants, government authorities, equipment vendors, and utility providers.
The role is responsible for ensuring seamless execution of engineering, procurement, construction, statutory approvals, vendor coordination, equipment delivery, installation, commissioning, documentation, and project reporting.
This individual will safeguard the company's interests and ensure that project timelines, quality standards, budgets, and compliance requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor & Supply Chain Management
* Coordinate procurement of owner-supplied equipment and materials.
* Liaise with domestic and international suppliers.
* Track manufacturing status and dispatch schedules.
* Monitor logistics, customs clearance, and site deliveries.
* Ensure timely availability of equipment before installation.
* Coordinate inspection and factory acceptance tests where applicable.
Engineering & Technical Coordination
* Coordinate reviews of PFDs, P&IDs, layout drawings, GA drawings, utility plans, electrical drawings, instrumentation, and civil drawings.
* Ensure comments from internal teams are incorporated.
* Maintain revision control of engineering documents.
* Coordinate technical discussions between OEMs and EPC teams.
Government Approvals & Compliance
Coordinate and track approvals related to:
* Factory License
* Pollution Control Board
* Fire NOC
* Electrical Inspectorate
* Building approvals
* Labour compliance
* Boiler approvals (if applicable)
* PESO approvals (where applicable)
* Environmental compliance
* Utility connections
* Power sanction
* Water approvals
* Waste management compliance
Ensure all statutory submissions are completed on schedule.
Project Planning & Monitoring
* Develop detailed project trackers.
* Monitor procurement schedules.
* Maintain risk registers.
* Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
* Track project KPIs.
* Coordinate review meetings.
* Maintain action item trackers.
* Escalate critical issues proactively.
Site Coordination
Coordinate with:
* Civil contractors
* Mechanical contractors
* Electrical contractors
* Instrumentation contractors
* Utility contractors
* OEM installation engineers
* Safety consultants
* Quality inspectors
Ensure work fronts are available and execution progresses smoothly.
Cost & Contract Coordination
* Track purchase orders.
* Verify work completion.
* Coordinate contractor billing.
* Review milestone completion.
* Assist in variation order management.
* Monitor project cash flow against execution.
Commissioning & Plant Handover
Coordinate:

Desired Candidate Profile
Education
* B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering.
* PMP certification is an advantage.
Experience
* 2-4 years in industrial project execution.
* Experience managing EPC contractors.
* Experience in specialty chemicals, recycling, process plants, pharmaceuticals, metals, cement, or industrial manufacturing projects.
* Strong understanding of procurement and vendor management.
* Exposure to government approvals and industrial compliances.
* Experience taking projects from greenfield construction through commissioning.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools and familiarity with safety and environmental regulations is an advantage.
