Job Title: Project Manager Murex (Treasury & Capital Markets)
Location: Pune but should be ready to travel to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Riyadh / Jeddah)

Role Overview:
The Murex Project Manager will lead end-to-end delivery of Murex implementations and enhancements within a Tier-1 bank in KSA. The role requires strong capital markets domain knowledge, hands-on Murex delivery experience, and proven capability to manage regulatory, vendor, and multi-stakeholder environments in the Gulf banking ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Delivery Management
- Own end-to-end Murex program delivery (MX.3 / MX.4), covering Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office.
- Manage project scope, milestones, budget, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
- Drive delivery across trade lifecycle, valuation, risk, P&L, accounting, and reporting.
- Ensure alignment with bank's enterprise architecture, IT governance, and SDLC.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as the primary interface between:
- Treasury & Capital Markets business
- IT & Architecture teams
- Murex vendor and system integrators
- External vendors (market data, confirmation, settlement, GL)
- Manage senior stakeholder expectations, including Treasury Heads, CFO office, and Risk.
Regulatory & Compliance (KSA / GCC)
- Ensure compliance with:
- SAMA regulations
- IFRS 9 / IFRS 13
- Local reporting and risk requirements
- Support regulatory audits, model validations, and compliance sign-offs.
Functional & Technical Oversight
- Oversee configuration and integration across:
- Trading, Risk, Market Data
- Credit & Limits
- Accounting & Finance interfaces
- Collateral & Confirmations
- Govern data migration, reconciliations, and cutover strategy.
- Ensure strong controls around UAT, SIT, and Production releases.
Leadership & Governance
- Lead cross-functional teams (onshore / offshore).
- Chair steering committees, RAID reviews, and design forums.
- Enforce project governance, documentation, and audit readiness.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Requirements
- 1215+ years of banking IT / transformation experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on Murex project management experience.
- Proven delivery of large-scale Murex implementations or upgrades.
- Strong understanding of:
- Treasury & Capital Markets products (FX, MM, IRS, Bonds, Derivatives)
- Risk (Market, Credit, Liquidity)
- Accounting & Finance integration
Regional Experience
- Mandatory experience working with banks in KSA or GCC (UAE, KSA, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman).
- Strong understanding of SAMA regulatory landscape.
- Experience working in Arabic-speaking, regulator-driven environments (Arabic language not mandatory but preferred).
Project Management & Methodology
- Strong expertise in Agile / Waterfall / Hybrid delivery models.
- PMP / PRINCE2 certification preferred.
- Ability to manage complex vendor ecosystems and large budgets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Saudi banks or large regional banks.
- Experience with Treasury Transformation programs.
- Exposure to cloud / infrastructure modernization alongside Murex.
- Knowledge of post-trade processing, reconciliation tools, and reporting platforms.
