The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Responsibilities
- To effectively manage the existing solar (ground mounted) project in respect to Operations and Maintenance of the project.
- To ensure that the project runs at the full-fledged capacity in terms of generation of energy.
- In charge of all on-site operations, working with contractors and sub-contractors and to ensure the project runs to schedule.
- To manage on-site construction activities like engineering, procurement, construction, and costing of the projects, to ensure completion of project within the time & cost parameters and effective resource utilization to maximize the output.
- To co-ordinate with the contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, local government authorities for work related to design, resources, civil works, MEP works, procurement and liaisioning.
- Project coordination from EPC up to grid connection and plant startup, inspection and supervision.
- Reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates for installation & commissioning; reviewing contractor's change order proposals.
- Project approval process (preliminary, final, detailed design).
- Monitors the project's guiding documents to ensure it meets obligations on a timely basis; maintain communication with the Senior Management team on all contractual items.
- To negotiate with the vendors for procurement of materials and with the contractors on the rates for providing resources.
- Controlling all aspects of the Site including Planning work, Resource mobilization.
- Resolving any unforeseen problems that may cause delays to project completion.
- Maintaining strict quality control procedures and conducting regular inspection & testing of works and materials.
- To inspect the material received at site for completeness and damages and ensuring proper storage at site.
- To conduct regular site Safety checks.
- To conduct cost benefit analysis of the projects including feasibility studies, assessment of the requirements, interface and commissioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in site construction and project management profile in Solar (Renewable Energy) projects.
- Must have experience in Installation and Operation & Maintenance(O&M) of Ground mounted solar projects.
