To support our expanding business in India, we are looking for a BIS Certification Project Manager to lead and manage BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification projects.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role of Project Manager located in the Delhi, India. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating our Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification projects and help our customer with BIS certification process.
His/her key tasks include:
- Oversee and manage BIS certification projects for batteries and other products, ensuring compliance with Indian regulations.
- Act as the primary liaison between PTL, Indian regulatory authorities, local representatives and clients.
- Guide clients through the BIS certification process, including application submission, sample testing, and documentation.
- Coordinate with testing laboratories, government agencies, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely certification approvals.
- Stay updated on BIS standards, policies, and regulatory changes to provide expert guidance.
- Handle any compliance challenges or technical issues that arise during the certification process.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including BIS officials and industry partners.
- Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, or BIS certification.
- Strong knowledge of BIS certification procedures, Indian regulatory landscape, and testing standards (especially for batteries).
- Excellent project management and coordination skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with government authorities, clients, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi (Chinese language skills are a plus).
- Experience working with testing laboratories and certification bodies in India.
